Spoiler tagging trope names in example lists is strictly forbidden. Character Death is not a characterization trope, so noteworthy examples of this Omnipresent Trope which don't fit any of the many subtropes go on the main page. Wiki policy is that aversions are not noteworthy except for those very few tropes and genres where aversions are rare enough to stand out.

* [[spoiler: CharacterDeath: She is killed while 'timing it' around Keroon Plain so that all people who live there can be vaccinated in one day against the deadly plague. After making her final stop she is so exhausted that she forgets to give Holth the coordinates for Fort Weyr and just tells her to jump. This mistake results in her and Holth being lost between.]]

* MyGirlIsNotASlut: Averted! Moreta's clearly been involved with multiple men, but no one makes a fuss about it. Any disapproval over her relationship with Alessan is because of the political implications, not because she is meant to be sexually faithful to her Weyrleader.

since her story does NOT end in babies, babies ever after is wrong trope

* BabiesEverAfter: Has a son, M'ray, who she got during an affair with an Istan dragonrider. She apparently has at least two other children, one of which she is certain she conceived while she was in a relationship with B'lerion.

However, she doesn't seem to have actually raised them herself, passing that duty off onto others.
