* DefrostingIceQueen: She starts out not respecting the Player at all, but eventually seems to warm up after the battle at Dark Overlord Tower. She reverts back to her stoic self after [[spoiler:Geraint's death]].

* WhatTheHellHero: She chews out the player after Gerrant dies, blaming them for his death (she's not wrong, by the way), and the consequences that would result from it. She mellows down very slightly after the player gives her Gerrant's jewel, musing how there are still ''some'' things the player can do right, as it eventually allows her to bring him BackFromTheDead.

* DeathFromAbove: The sharpshooter's Aerial Chain Shot can be considered this, while the acro can turn herself into this with Eagle Dive and Falling Star.

* WhipItGood: When transformed, the Arch Heretic uses a whipblade in battle.

* SupportPartyMember: Definitely not to the extent of the Cleric, but the Mystic's skills are designed to leave enemies vulnerable to her allies' attacks.

* DarkIsNotEvil: Some of her skills are dark element. As a screamer she uses more darkness. She's every bit as heroic as the other classes, though.

Leader of [[SpellMyNameWithAnS the Astral Coven/Fairystar Magic Institute]], and one of the Six Heroes of the Black Dragon Raid 50 years ago. She has secluded herself in Lotus Marsh ever since.

The court sorceress of Saint Haven's castle, she often obsesses about her youthful looks, and sends the player to find all sorts of things to help her stay young. Has a rivalry with Lotus Marsh's sorceress, Marisala.

A young woman attacked by minions during the warrior/archer tutorial, she is rescued by the player. A descendent of the ancients known as the Prophet, she is wanted by practically every villain for their own nefarious purposes. [[spoiler:After her life becomes a complete wreck with all that happens in the game, she has a FaceHeelTurn and becomes Rosalinde, one of the apostles of the Dragon Cultists.]]

** WhiteMage: One of the ways the priest can be played, focusing more on buffs & heals than on his relics.

* AnIcePerson: Elementalist. Even more so as Ice Witch/Elestra.

* YourSoulIsMine: The Black Mara gave up her soul to a dark force for her powers.

* DifficultButAwesome: The Lencea is the second class to be labeled under the Expert difficulty, and for good reason. On promotion, she gains a skill which greatly boosts her final damage and overall speed, at the cost of making her lethargic if used too much. You ''really'' do not want to become lethargic as you slow down and start losing a percentage of your health every time you use a skill. Learning how to manage this mechanic is crucial to success with Lencea.

* {{Badass}}: Is capable of powerful healing magic and holding her own against the Black Knight, although he eventually wins. [[spoiler:It is later revealed that most of her power is [[BarrierMaiden used to keep the world together]], implying that she could easily [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomp him]] if not for that.]]

* AndIMustScream: XD-07 tells the Tinker [[spoiler:that if a clone's jewel heart runs out of power, she will lose control over her body, but still remain conscious for weeks, presumably until the body itself dies.]]

It is later revealed that the reason he wants power is to get revenge on the Ancients, whom he blames for the tragic fate of his wife.]]

* ArchEnemy: To the Kali.

The current BigBad of the story. [[spoiler:The former king of Saint's Haven, he had helped save the world once before when the Monolith was opened. The experience left him bitter against the goddess, and so he seeks to open the Monolith, kill her, and take her place.]]

* NobleBirdOfPrey: The Silver Hunter has a falcon companion she can summon, and it's surprisingly very powerful.

* TheBerserker: Downplayed. After specializing as a Barbarian, the Mercenary gains access to a passive skill that buffs him as his health drops. ...Maintaining this buff while keeping your HP high enough to tank is a bit troublesome.

* MasterOfNone: When it comes to PlayerVersusEnvironment, Warriors are far and away the most versatile class choice in the game when it comes to filling specific roles in a party. Unfortunately for them, this isn't always something to write home about.

* NoSell: The Mercenary's Lifesaver ability negates all damage for up to one minute when an affected character has a single hit point remaining, and his Iron Skin resists most debilitating StandardStatusEffects.

* MoreDakka: The Sniper and the Warden specialize in this trope to a T.

* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Illusion takes this role early on in the sin's story.

* MoreDakka: The advanced specializations of the Sharpshooter specialize in this trope to a T.

* StoneWall: The cleric is tankier than most other classes, and becomes a full-blown tank if he goes Paladin. Even as a Priest, a good cleric will act as the party's tank if they need one and there's no actual tank.

!!Yuven/Yuvenciel[[spoiler:Queen Perdaris/King Federeth]]

The Tinkerer's supposed sister, she serves as the quest guide for her story, [[spoiler:at least until her second specialization quest, where she reveals her true nature.]] [[spoiler:Her goal is to destroy the current world in an attempt to save her current timeline, and to do this, she created 26 clones (one being the Tinkerer) to perform analysis.]]

* AbusiveParents: Granted, it's likely that he genuinely wanted his son to be strong, but abandoning him on his own is not very nice.

* CriticalHitClass: The Sniper, oh so much, to the point where her skills boost critical hit damage.

A young member of the Divine Order, sent to Mana Ridge to guard the Sage's Staff. It is soon stolen by Dragon Cultists, and as he sets out to retrieve it, he discovers that someone he knows may not be who he appears... After discovering that his close friend is actually a Dragon Cultist, he leaves the Divine Order so that he can protect the Prophet from anyone who would try to abuse her power, without allegiances to any side or organisation getting in the way.
