This trope doesn't really apply to Hunter. As the entry mentioned, James and Ally (in spite of all their bickering) are exceptions. Jake actually had friendly interactions with him as well and even apologized for voting him out and claimed it was strategic rather than personal. That's already majority of the team. That just leaves Ashley with whom he doesn't really interact at all and Fiore whose relationship with him is better described as Jerkass To One. He can't even be counted as this outside of his team because out of only 3 contestants he had meaningful interactions with, 2 of them were his friends (Tess and Connor) to just 1 enemy (Riya, no interactions this season).

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Outside of Ally and James, nobody on the Magenta Team seems to like him that much: Ashley and Jake are ambivalent towards him and Fiore has a very much mutual dislike towards him, and even Ally tends to lose her patience with him when his "win-at-all-costs" mentality becomes too much. [[spoiler:It gets to the point that even if voting out Fiore would be the smarter move strategically, her team votes HIM out instead in episode 5 simply because they can't stand him anymore]].

I'd argue with this example. Ally still makes several references to video games, talks about how her grandpa inspired her to become a gamer, and her being a streamer is often mentioned throughout All-Stars (mostly in regards to the reactions of her dating Hunter). Perhaps it could be brought up in regards to just playing games on-screen, but as is, this trope is not warranted. There's more to being a gamer girl than just playing games on-screen, after all.

* TheArtifact: Ally's label as "The Gamer Girl" made sense at the start because she was, well, a gamer girl who played games when she wasn't in the middle of a challenge, and in the Awake-A-Thon, even ''during'' the challenge. After Kristal's order for Ally to burn her consoles during the Queen's challenge and Hunter revealing he saved one of her consoles, Ally's status as a gamer hardly comes into play for the rest of the season. It's even more irrelevant come ''All-Stars'', since the fact that the contestants can't bring electronic devices means she can't even play games anymore.

* HashtagForLaughs: After his argument with Jake after the first challenge in All Stars, James mocks Jake's social media posts on social media in a confessional by saying this:
---> '''James:''' I mean, have they seen what he posts, crying about never finding true love? Hashtag Thirsty.

* UndyingLoyalty: To Aiden. When Jake comes to him and asks if he thinks Aiden is getting too close to Tom, James takes offense in what Jake is trying to imply, and asserts that he trusts that Aiden would never cheat on him.

* FieryRedhead: {{Downplayed}}. Once she begins donning her red wig, Lake's more exuberant personality shines through, but she doesn't become quite the GenkiGirl like someone like Gabby.

Added DiffLines:

* TookALevelInBadass: Lake wasn't bad at challenges pre-red wig ''persay'', but she didn't stand out as a particularly strong competitor either. Once she gets the red wig, she proves herself to be able to go toe-to-toe with ''Hunter'', who had several Immunity wins to his name, to the point she comes ''this'' close to winning Immunity and breaking Hunter's streak.

* InformedAttribute: He's a big fan of ''Total Drama'' and watched the previous seasons in preparation for his stay in Season 2. This knowledge of reality TV show never comes into play, and in fact, Aiden shows himself to not be any more GenreSavvy regarding the game than the other contestants.
