Karloff used to be part of a Champion's Challenge team who rescued Cera from a Yuan-Ti cult. He took Cera under his care as her surrogate father, but his apprehensions about what the cult intended to do with her make him rather cold and distant. What he lacks in heart, he makes up for in resourcefulness; through scrying, he keeps a close eye on Passione's progress and assists them however he can through his studies and his past experience.

Osra's father, Mondo, carries a tiefling curse that he shares with his daughter; because he's had it for longer, his condition is far worse, and it's a huge reason why Osra set out on the Champion's Challenge. Despite his deteriorating condition, he smiles through the pain and pretends that nothing is wrong to prevent his loved ones from worrying. Unfortunately, he's not only evasive about his health, but also much of his personal history. For one, despite not having a notable position in society, Mondo has somehow made connections in high places all throughout Grandure--and from there, he's made connections that he shouldn't have.

* OhCrap: In "The Ranger Challenge PT. 2," Mori informs Passione about Qwill's past encounter with a powerful creature, which killed his old teammates, destroyed his leg, and left him with severe mental scars. The beast might've been a dragon based on Mori's memories of the aftermath, so the party prepares to fight one the next day for the rest of the session. Then, in "Disarmed and a Leg," the party drops by the Forrnest Hunting Guild to let Dundee know about their next hunt. The moment Callum reveals what he and his friends are after, all doubts of what their quarry is vanish when a horrified Dundee futilely urges his visitors to turn back. It turns out that he knows ''exactly'' what Qwill dealt with, and he doesn't want history to repeat. Despite Dundee ultimately relenting and covering for Passione when they head out, the beast is technically off-limits even to the few who know of it.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Damniel always talks about the power he once had before becoming what he is today. However, he's persistently vague about the details surrounding his rise and fall until Osra forces him into a Zone of Truth in "The Golden Genius; Henshin!" The subsequent episode, "Trickster Trios and Treacherous Turtles," has some of the largest breadcrumbs about his origins yet. There, he describes how he was once a patron of the Dawn Queen, and he was so enamored with her that he sought ways to achieve godhood to be at her side. His methods were questionable, but he managed to succeed and maintain such a position for some time... until the Black Fang, one of his patrons, took advantage of him. He stripped Damniel of all of his power, to the point where being in the Dawn Queen's presence now actively ''hurts'' him.

----
* ChekhovsGun: In"The Red Trophy," when shown a picture of him while picking out competitors for her party to fight in a tournament the next day, Osra immediately picks up on Bruce's metallic exterior and the potential history behind it. Her observations are followed up on in "Silent Night, Deadly Knife," in which Bruce drops by to congratulate Calum for his win and meets the rest of his party. Upon Osra questioning him about his physical condition, Bruce explains that a now-ended, highly unethical project involving Anvil Rot made him this way. His summary proves to be the first step of many for Passione to uncover some of the shadier aspects of Grandure's history.

The same cannot be said for Osra's father and Melee's sister, Mondo, who draws Melee's ire the most for his poor lifestyle choices--if given the opportunity, she'll gladly attack him on sight.

\\
The romantic spirit of Lord Damniel has taken an interest in Ophelia. He knows that they share a strange bond, in which every drop of blood that she gulps down restores his physical body and his powers. Thus, Damniel has a proposition: Ophelia helps him regain his strength, and he'll help her take down the Black Fang, the vampire responsible for both of their conditions. While she wishes to help him and herself, Ophelia doesn't trust Damniel; he's too secretive about himself while being overly familiar with her, and he's effectively asking her to enable her vampirism. Nevertheless, Damniel still periodically checks on her progress in fulfilling her end of the deal.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: Damniel's moral standing is deeply murky, and his means of approaching Ophelia paint him as a suspicious character. The campaign explores whether or not Ophelia should trust him any time that he appears.
** Damniel and Ophelia's first meeting in "The Red Trophy" colors their interactions from that point forward. Despite stating that he has her best interests in mind, he does nothing to legitimately earn Ophelia's trust. Rather, through his powers and present condition, he exploits her social awkwardness to figuratively corner her into fulfilling his demands--in this case, he approaches her in the dead of night with no one else around. He also only discusses what happened to him in broad terms, that they both share a common enemy to take down and cure themselves of their ailments. To achieve that goal, he essentially asks Ophelia to indulge in her vampirism more than she's comfortable with. And because of Damniel's secrecy, this bargain only seems to immediately benefit him; whether he follows up on his end of the deal and helps Ophelia take on the Black Fang is not certain.
** Ophelia becomes very troubled by her first meeting with Damniel, so, when she gets the chance, she approaches the Dawn Queen to ask about Damniel's legitimacy in "Precarious Politics." The Queen affirms that what Damniel has discussed is true, and she reveals that he was once a patron of hers. However, that relationship has long since ended, and because of what he is now, the Queen is just as uncertain of his trustworthiness as Ophelia. Later on, Damniel appears in-person to Ophelia again, and he only furthers her apprehension about him when he reveals that he once helped the Black Fang attempt to conquer Grandure many years ago, and it was that interaction that lead to what he is now.
* HandsomeLech: Damniel dresses up in a figure-hugging, elegant outfit that suits his romantic disposition and makes him rather attractive to Scarlet, Ophelia's player. However, it does nothing to endear him to Ophelia, not with his clandestine approach to himself and their deal. Nevertheless, Damniel playfully flirts with Ophelia throughout their interactions, always making them out to be far closer than they truly are in a vain attempt to earn her trust. "Pact or No Pact" shows off some of this behavior from him. After a bit of banter and some discussion about a collection of stories about the Black Fang, Damniel bids farewell to Ophelia with an affectionate pinch to her cheek. He disappears into thin air just before she can successfully slap him.
-->'''Ophelia:''' *Sigh* ... Forgive me if I do not believe you?\\
'''Damniel:''' Eh, can't say I disapprove. I mean... we've got such an ''iiinteresting'' relationship, huh~?\\
'''Ophelia:''' ''[bitterly]'' It was not so much a relationship as it was a, hmmmm... more like being assigned partners?\\
'''Damniel:''' 'Eyy, you've got to start somewhere, yeah? Who knows; maybe we can be a good ''buddy comedy,'' y'know~.\\
'''Ophelia:''' ''*Sigh*''... This will not be the last time that I look through this book. Perhaps if I go through it a few more times, I might find something else.\\
'''Damniel:''' Perhaps indeed! But, uh... I recommend trying to find something a bit more... factual. There's only so much you can glean from myths and fairytales.\\
'''Ophelia:''' ''Oh,'' if you happen to know of any kind of tomes that contain factual information, ''please, do'' let me know.\\
'''Damniel:''' I mean... Where is the biggest library in this land, eh?\\
'''Ophelia:''' '''''*Sigh*''''' ... You can leave now; I'm going to bed.\\
'''Damniel:''' Very well...\\
''[Damniel reaches out and pinches Ophelia's cheek, as if he's earned this moment.]''\\
'''Damniel:''' Sleep well, ''mon petit~.''\\
''[Ophelia instantly attempts to slap Damniel's hand away, but he's already dissipated into mist.]''\\

The Terrible Trix Trio are a team of crafty thieves that Passione first meets outside of Joughstic. They consist of Bonnie, Clyde, and their tiny companion, Billy the Kid.

And not one of them is particularly successful at their schemes. When they first appear in "The Ranger Challenge PT. 1's" recap segment, the original Team Rocket sting briefly plays.

Dundee is the head of the Forrnest Hunting Guild and a long-time friend of Qwill's. He assists Qwill with the Ranger challenge through his typical duties: documenting who goes hunting for what quarry.
----
* OhCrap: In "The Ranger Challenge PT.
