** '''[[VillainsNeverLie Honesty]]''': Spike isn't exactly honest, but he does seem to object to people lying for the sake of feeling better about themselves or of making others think more highly of themselves. As part of his EstablishingCharacterMoment, he tells a vampire who says "and I would know-I was at the Crucifixion" that "if every vampire who claimed they were at the Crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock. And I would know-[[DeadpanSnarker I was at Woodstock]]." In his sole Season 3 appearance, there's also his "Love's Bitch" speech in which he calls out Buffy and Angel for denying that they're still in love, and it's clear that he's pissed-off by it.

* TheWorldIsJustAwesome: Believes this, which is why he's not onboard with destroying it, unlike Angelus and Drusilla, and why he decides to help Buffy stop them and save the world in "Becoming, Part 2."
-->'''Spike:''' We like to talk big, vampires do. "I'm going to destroy the world." That's just tough guy talk. Strutting around with your friends over a pint of blood. The truth is, I like this world. You've got – the dog racing, Manchester United, and you've got people: billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs. It's all right here. But then someone comes along with a vision, with a real passion for destruction. Angel could pull it off. Goodbye Piccadilly, farewell Leicester bloody Square.

** Despite all of his resentment towards Angel Spike still makes an honest effort to comfort him following his decision to let Fred die.

* EvilCripple: He spends the latter half of season 2 - when he still was fully evil - in a weelchair. However, it is revealed he faked it for some time - for how long exactly stays unknown.

Added DiffLines:

* NominalHero: In season 4 and the first half of season 5 he only helps out the good guys because he has a chip in his head so he can't hurt humans, so he decides to unleash his violence on demons, not caring at all for doing the right thing. Oh, and Buffy often beats him up to force him to give him information anyway. That changes from season 5 onwards when [[LoveRedeems Spike develops actual feelings for Buffy]] and pulls off a genuine HeelFaceTurn.

Added DiffLines:

* VillainousCrush: When he starts realizing his feelings for Buffy midway season 5, he's still a villain despite occassionally helping out Buffy and her friends. Buffy and her peers are naturally pretty ''disgusted'' after Spike confesses his "love" for her - although eventually, after this crush more and more develops, leads to an actual case of LoveRedeems for Spike.
