* GoodIsNotSoft: Much like Astler. Shinsa prefers to avoid harming the innocent, but is quick to violence and even murder if her friends are threatened, in particularly Astler.
* ObliviousToLove: Doesn't seem to notice Astler's increasingly obvious crush on her.
* TheParagonAlwaysRebels: Was the leading princess candidate to inherit the throne amongst the emperor's offsprings. But life as Shin-An royalty was cruel. In particular, the revelation that her brother, and only friend, was turned into a demon, made her decide to murder the entire palace's population, her own father included.
* UnskilledButStrong: Shinsa is a mixed example. She's a prodigy at swordfighting, but has zero affinity towards Cael manipulation. Luckily, she's a powerful demon, so her skillset are perfect for her enhanced physical prowess, to the point only Admiral class Cael users like Astler can stop her.

!Hades
[[folder:Hades as a Whole]]
A terrorist organisation bent on destroying the current Coelcaitus regime. They're aware of the dark secrets behind the formation of Coelcaitus and seek to bring them to light to further topple the kingdom.

* EqualOpportunityEvil: While all inside Hades seek Coelcaitus's fall, their reasons differ. Some do it out of disgust at Coelcaitus's treatments of it's lower, less cael-capable castes. Some do it out of desire for mayhem. Still others seem to want vengeance at the specific individuals ruilling Coelcaitus.
* AwfulTruth: One of their main tactics of sowing discord is simply revealing the ugly truths behind Coelcaitus's formation. To name a few, [[spoiler: The current rulling class were trained cael-using ChildSoldiers who destroyed some version of humanity very similar to ours that lived before them and could not use Cael. [[folder:Styx]]
An officer of Hades. Demonstrating no Cael powers, Styx instead employs cunning, planning and information gathering to get ahead of the Coelcaitus forces, and usually with effective results.

* TheSneakyGuy: The definitive one in the story thus far. Whereas Ryung also lacks Cael or demonic powers but employs combat know-how to survive, Styx makes sure the situations s/he finds themselves in are already in their favor, or employs technology which will allow them to keep the upper hand. They can fight, but they make it so they rarely have to.
* BadassNormal: No Cael powers. Still contends and often gains victory against the best Coelcaitus has to offer, by combination of preperation and physical prowess.
