** Now let's compare him to the human portagonists of ''Film/Godzilla2014'' and ''Film/GodzillaKingOfTheMonsters2019'' (Joe and Ford Brody and Mark Russell). Joe and Mark in particular have ExcessiveMourning as the focus of their characters and show signs of ItsAllAboutMe, Mark is known to lash out at and give his friends and loved ones a hard time for things that aren't their fault, and Ford is a big case of {{Mangst}}. He considers himself and Vivienne blood siblings as well as emotional/adoptive siblings following their merger, and he is nothing short of loyal and caring towards her. Meanwhile, San disowns Ichi and Ni as his brothers as his CharacterDevelopment progresses (not least because they are "Biggest Cunts" and all round evil). It's also telling that San and his brothers had [[spoiler:many biological sisters who died in infancy]], but San considers Vivienne the first true sister he's ever had.

* YouCalledMeXItMustBeSerious: It's usually a sign things are frighteningly serious when he calls Vivienne by her name instead of calling her "sister".

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: {{Downplayed}}. Their second form is a bit less demonic-looking than the [[Film/GodzillaFinalWars original incarnation of Monster X]], and is even described by Mariko as beautiful. [[spoiler:It gets lessened even more by their final form]].

* AndThisIsFor: They say this in their final form before they begin VampiricDraining [[spoiler:[=MaNi=]/Elder Brother]] to death.

* BenevolentMonsters: They're this to humans, being gigantic and terrifying-looking but overall highly benign and even benevolent to humans who haven't crossed them. This is particularly prominent when [[PlayedForLaughs they try asking terrified civilians for directions at one point]].

** Also to Manda. Monster X is an ArtificialHybrid created by [[SatanicArchetype Ghidorah]] (and half of them is a BackFromTheDead former-human with their memories intact) with a lot of trauma, whereas Manda is a possible [[spoiler:{{Reincarnation}} of a former-human as a divine reward]] and is innocent.

* GlowingEyesOfDoom / RedEyesTakeWarning: In Chapter 4, when San takes control and brutally slaughters Jonah's mercenaries. And again in their final form during the FinalBattle.

* HeroicRROD: The duo suffer this in [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13357907/6 Chapter 6]] when Vivienne overuses their powers in their first form, effectively microwaving their partly-human organs -- then in Chapter 16, they suffer a more devastating [=RRoD=]. As a result, their default mental state is a merger of both their personalities which refers to themself as a singular being; although Viv and San's personalities retain their individuality and they can split out of this merged personality back into the original two in order to speak separately]].

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: A two-headed hybrid Titan (human and Ghidorah) with leathery skin and bony protrusions, created by San transforming and essentially merging with Vivienne -- as a result of the latter characteristic, the two heads' minds essentially have AGirlAndHerX esque dynamic. In their second form, they have no wings and are mainly quadrupedal like eastern dragons -- in their final form, [[spoiler:they're a DraconicHumanoid with [[RetractableAppendages retractable wings]] that enable flight]]. Viv and San have Ghidorah's bio-electricity, but their specific powers differ somewhat and they generate red-tinted lightning. They're also essentially the "offspring" of a SatanicArchetype DraconicAbomination, but they're highly benevolent and highly fierce.

* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: It's eventually named after the dualistic deity Abraxas from Gnoticism, fitting what Monster X itself is as a fusion of opposing concepts (human and Titan, NiceGirl and (redeemed) {{Sadist}}, male and female, etc.).

* SiblingMurder: In their final form, Viv and San [[spoiler:deliver {{Karmic Death}}s to [=MaNi=]/Elder Brother (although they might have merely rendered him comatose rather than killed him outright) and Ichi/Eldest Brother. A prominent Monarch scientist who had a close relationship with Dr. Serizawa. She was SwallowedWhole by Ghidorah (Ichi/Eldest Brother) in Antarctica, before being stored inside San's head to be revived and transformed; forming San's new sister as part of Monster X. She functions as the main head.

A two-headed, half-human and half-Ghidorah "chimera" Titan, created by Ghidorah's severed head regenerating and transforming Vivienne Graham's body inside itself and transferring the head's (San's) own consciousness to her body's new second brain. It possesses bio-electrical abilities which differ somewhat from Ghidorah's, and is incapable of flight.

* BloodFromEveryOrifice: Viv and San's heads both start bleeding from their noses, mouths and when when [[spoiler:Ghidorah violently makes psychic contact]], in Chapter 14.

* SuperPrototype: Besides being a FlawedPrototype to the Many (see above), Monster X can also be considered this trope to them. Viv and San far more, shall we say, ''sane'' than the Many are, as well as being much more mentally and physically consistent and more capable of thinking for themselves even when Monster X was in their defective first form. ZigZagged in their first form which had many crippling defects, but from their second form onwards however, Monster X is powerful enough to win a fight against a Many MindHive.
