* The part where Vale and the other scanners sit in a circle and join minds is cool in a mysterious, intriguing way. Being a scanner usually entails lots of suffering, but for a change they're ecstatic to use their powers to emphatically understand one another on a deeply personal level. It's the only scene where Vale seems comfortable with his powers, which makes it all the more unfortunate that the meeting is then interrupted by Revok's goons.
