This was an effective counter-measure against the vampire-killing [[PowerOfTheSun Hamon]], which relies on breath control and the flow of blood. [[spoiler:[[TheHero Jonathan]] had to ''set his own fist on fire'' to counter it]].

** [[TheAce Shoto Todoroki's]] Quirk is called "Half-Cold Half-Hot", allowing him to generate ice as well as [[PlayingWithFire fire]]. At first, he refused to use his fire powers (as he inherited them from his AbusiveDad), making him primarily an ice user in the early parts of the story. This is still an extremely potent ability on its own, as he can summon a gigantic glacier that takes up half a sports stadium. Having both fire and ice powers negates a critical weakness of both these abilities: creating too much ice can cause him to suffer from hypothermia, but he can counteract that with his fire powers, and conversely, use his ice to keep himself cool when using fire.

They can reduce their surroundings to below freezing, cries frozen tears, and maintains no body heat. However, they are not capable of causing any harm from that, and these powers are often triggeed by their own HeroicBSOD.

He's also all-but-immune to physical attacks as, while they can still shatter his icy body, he can effortlessly reform it.

* ''Manga/TokyoShinobiSquad'' has Hyosui Nagumo. An AxCrazy assassin known as the "Icy Executioner", he works for a major media company to assassinate its rivals' stars to cut out the competition. He keeps his hideout as cold as a winter in Antarctica and can freeze others to death with as little as a single touch.

Essentially, he can generate ice and frost from his flesh and blood and can spawn it anywhere in his vicinity, as well as psionically manipulating and shape it allowing him to unleash potent ice techniques. On top of that, he can create a special type of demonic powdered ice lethal to those that inhale it (except for Doma) inducing necrosis and rendering them unable to fight very quickly. Doma usually channels his cryokinesis through his pair of Japanese war fans, enhancing his [[CombatHandFan Tessenjutsu]] with ice and frost. He usually manipulates ice as frozen lotuses and vines or as petal-shaped frost shards to cut or freeze his enemies. Doma can also create waves of freezing clouds, wintery icicles and stalagmites, icy humanoid figures and even miniature ice clones of himself capable of unleashing the same techniques with the same skill and potency as Doma himself. Doma's final technique of ice is a giant ice Bodhisattva statue that can generate immense gusts of his deadly ice powder and freezing attacks on top of powerful physical attacks.
