Maggoty Anne: I take it you haven't seen Jan Svankmajer's Alice? It can't more nightmarish than that. It was made for kiddies too. Actually, I was rather upset when I heard Burton was doing Alice, since Svankmajer is SUCH an influence on his work.
Lanthorn: Info: Burton's version is a sequel to the Disney version: Alice thinks the Disney version was a dream. TB's version introduces the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) and the Jabberwockey (Christopher Lee). Also, Depp's Mad Hatter (Goons: he's like Elijah Wood or Carrot Top in drag) is reportedly Alice's love interest. Pics!
