YMMV / Ball Revamped

Go To

  • Disappointing Last Level: Levels 95-100note  in every single game:
    • The last levels of Revamped and Synergy, whose only obstacle is a number in the middle of the screen. All in the former game can be can be completed by doing nothing.
    • The last levels of Metaphysik and Gemini are empty except for a countdown that shows how many more times you'll have to hit the exit before you get to fight the boss.
    • Even the last levels of Amplitude are this, but they're the hardest of all — you have to traverse the insides of large numbers, with the only powerups there sending you either to the start or to a random position in the level.
  • Goddamned Bats: The jellyfish in Aquatica in Andromeda. They move very slowly, their positions aren't reset when you die, and they can easily (albeit temporarily) block routes to the exit.
  • Sequel Difficulty Spike: Gemini is much harder than Andromeda. This is because Gemini is the continuation of Andromeda — it's essentially one game split in two.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: The second game and its sequels, with varied obstacles and improved physics, are significantly better than the first.
  • That One Level: "Long Fuse and Run", level 55 of Amplitude. You have to dodge lasers for roughly 15 seconds while waiting for the long fuse. Oh, and the laser guns don't stop firing once the obstacle has been blown up. The fact that level 56's level select code is "painful" may not be a coincidence.
