Death Battle suggestions for returning combatants sorted through seasons 1-5.
A few things to keep in mind:- Remember that they should have at least some common factor. Even the Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash had one; both being popular high flyers in their toylines in Hasbro. Also, no fanon interpretations of characters.
- No creepypasta. They have too many unknowns to be qualified combatants, and Death Battle is known for showing their research.
- Characters who run on the Rule of Funny are generally frowned upon. With no established limits, any scientific limits would be random. However, this doesn't really apply if that is the entire point; if you have a "just for fun" type match up, put it in the Jokes Battles folder.
- No Memetic Badasses after Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro (that match-up's enough, thanks!). The fun of the meme is kind of ruined when the show reveals and proves that they're not nearly as badass as all the jokes and facts say. And besides, the aforementioned match ended in an apocalyptic draw. note
- On that note, no rematches for either of them for similar reasons.

- Rogue VS...
- Technically Rogue could beat anyone. All she has to do is touch an opponent and get all their abilities, experience, and other attributes. When you consider that her power adds an opponent's abilities to her already decent capabilities, as opposed to just replacing her powers with that of the person she touched, she gains a slight advantage at the absolute least. And that's before we take into account that her touch is lethal is prolonged. To negate her Game-Breaker death/power stealing touch, I suggest that she go up against any one who is either:
- 1: A character who relies heavily on ranged combat, as they would prefer to stay far away rather than fight Rogue up close, the decision that led to Wonder Woman's downfall.
- 2: A character whose fashion sense revolves around head to toe body armor, full facial masks, and at least some sort of protection separating every square inch of skin from her touch.
- 3: A character with canon knowledge of Rogue's touch and the physical and mental capabilities to put their knowledge to good use.
- 4: A character who relies extensively on gadgets or weapons as opposed to powers. Even if Rogue managed to touched them and get whatever (presumably average) abilities they had, Rogue wouldn't just magically acquire her opponent's gear.
