- Everyone who jumps thinks they heard a loved one speak to them.
- Crystal almost jumps because she heard her mother's voice, and then the Night Nurse pretends to be a family friend of hers.
- Edwin's frightened reaction to seeing the dolls in Asha's store. In hell his torment was being chased by a monster made up of such exact dolls so seeing them clearly brought back memories of the place.
- The Night Nurse forcing Charles to relieve his worse moments, where his former friends killed him after he defended another kid from their bullying, and then his father abusing him. It ends up causing him to break down after kicking her off the cliff.
Episode 6: The Case of the Creeping Forest
- Niko giving up on love after Maxine tried to kill Jenny last episode.
- Crystal losing her powers in her desperation to get rid of David, and then later having to stare as Charles and Edwin are almost eaten by the mushroom.
Episode 8: The Case of the Hungry Snake
- Crystal finally gets back her memories...to discover she was an absolutely horrible person, using her powers to manipulate people, steal and even on her own parents not to know what she was doing. To finally learn of her past only to find how awful she was is jarring.Crystal: Oh, God, I'm the worst. It was never David. I mean, he was a monster but I was a bad person before him.
- Crystal finally calls her parents...only for them to brush her off and focus on an art gallery opening, which makes her realize that all these weeks, they didn't even know she was gone.
- Crystal deciding to return to London to fix everything she did, and cut off her new friends so she doesn't hurt them the way she has others.
