Quotes / An Aesop

"If you're so adored
Where's
your Academy Award?
I'm the smart female heroine
That can't be ignored
The moral of the quarrel
And why I've got you beat:
It's what's
inside that matters
Not the size of yo' feet"

"The Dreamer Awakens
The Shadow Goes By
The Tale I Have Told You
That Tale Is A Lie
But Listen To Me
Bright Maiden, Proud Youth
The Tale Is A Lie
What It Tells Is The Truth"

Wheel of Morality, turn turn turn!
Tell us the lesson that we should learn!

I learned something today...

The promise of mystery, adventure, hidden clues, ancient set pieces, red herrings, diabolical double crosses and a thrilling climax that ultimately bashes us all over the head with a lesson about the importance of non-material possessions.

When all the world would keep a matter hid,
Since Truth is seldom friend to any crowd,
Men write in fable, as old Aesop did,
Jesting at that which none will name aloud.
And this they needs must do, or it will fall
Unless they please they are not heard at all.note

Wow! Another valuable lesson learned from my adventures!

"And so what we have learned applies to our life today, and God has a lot to say, in his book! You see, we know that God's word is for everyone, and now that our song is done, we'll take a look!"

"Yessuh, there's other ways of learnin' 'bout the behind feet of a mule than gettin' kicked by 'em, sure as I'm named Remus. And just 'cause these here tales is 'bout critters like Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Fox, that don't mean they ain't the same like can happen to folks. So them what can't learn from a tale 'bout critters just ain't got their ears tuned for listenin'."
Uncle Remus, Song of the South
