Heartwarming / Ozzy Osbourne

• While Ozzy is well known (and during his heyday, much reviled especially by religious groups) for his dark and sinister stage image, he is also known for greeting people a hearty "God Bless you!" after his concerts and to people he meets. He made mention of his religious background in his autobiography, i.e. he wasn't really brought up in a pious family and did not care much about it,^note Ozzy's mother was a non-observant Catholic, for starters. but he is reputedly a practising Anglican and prayed before each concert. When the Church of Satan headed by Anton LaVey reportedly held a parade in honour of Black Sabbath's self-titled debut album, Ozzy dismissed them as "bollocks" and "bullshit" and assured people he and the Sabs wanted nothing to do with it.
• Ozzy also recorded the opening narration to a charity Christmas song for The Cancer Platform, where he read the story of the Christmas Truce where soldiers from opposing sides of World War I agreed to informal ceasefires to bury their fallen comrades, fraternise or just celebrate Christmas with each other and take a respite from all the conflict ensuing back then.
