• “Your mother sells whelks in Hull” from "Bloodbath in Paradise", off of No Rest for The Wicked, can only be heard backwards. Nevertheless, it was a funny jab at the Moral Guardians who thought his songs had evil messages.
• This commercial. Ozzy's reaction when Kelly and Jack turn into Donny and Marie Osmond is the stuff of legend.
• The story behind "It's a Raid": While Black Sabbath were in LA recording Vol. 4 (which was a Troubled Production because they spent most of the sessions high as a kite), Ozzy pressed a button he thought would turn the air conditioning on, which turned out to be a silent alarm. Five minutes later, police cars came screaming up to the house, and Ozzy, thinking it was a drug raid, told the band to hide everything and tried to snort a shitload of cocaine to avoid wasting it, only for the maid and one of the cops to clear up the misunderstanding and tell him that he wasn't the first tenant to make that mistake. The cocaine kept Ozzy awake for four days.
