I was just looking for some good fanfiction to read when I stumbled upon this gem. The author lets us take a look at a character who we only see in flashbacks and when Scar shows or uses his right arm. They took a character who's never really thought of as much as his brother and gave him an extended psyche and concious. We see a man who wishes to elaborate the wonder of God's world through knowledge, a peaceful sort of man who wants to have people understand one another rather than wallow in ignorance. This troper admires this idealism greatly because it is also her own idealism. I find the references (which were altered from a medical text book to fit the story) placed througout the story to be interesting because they relate to the thoughts of this character in some way. Definately a good read if you're a fan of Scar (or, though not very likely, his brother).
