A small, gangly squid growing up to embody bully brutality; the vengeful, manipulative crime lord once manipulated into villainy; a genocidal dictator who made a true enemy of her own people.
But some of them, whether Octoling soldier Ruby Diorite or a couple of Inkling supporting antagonists, just want to be more regular people, which fleshes out the story instead of detracting from it.
And then there's Jack Gladio, a coward content without intelligence or freedom.
