While the identity of the "Scarlet Devil" might be obvious, I won't outright spoil it. The art is rougher than the later Asatsuki Dou works (due to being an earlier doujin and a web doujin, respectively), but is definitely a unique take on an origin story for a char that rarely gets one. This one plays with common character personalities a bit more than other Asatsuki Dou works, but definitely memorable, especially for fans of a certain beleaguered gate guard.
