Comments: Easily one of the best fanfics I have ever read. Facts to support the mythology and setting have obviously been painstakingly researched and smoothly woven into the story (no random fact-dumping author tracts here). The characters are carefully crafted and believable; the story itself proceeds naturally and choices have consequences in the story (no hand-waving to make everything better, no neatly pairing up every random person, and Chihiro and Haku have to work to get together). A sequel, In the Dreamer's Wake, has recently been completed, with a third installment on the way.
