The Best Christmas Rush Beta Ever Released

Sonic the Hedgehog: Sega's answer to Mario. Using the magic of "BLAST PROCESSING", Sonic could go over 20 times faster than Mario ever could. And he's all shiny and 16 bit! The SNES wasn't released at the time, so Sonic was kind of a big deal.

Then Sonic the Hedgehog 2 came along. It was originally going to be a 20 level epic, one of the longest and best games ever made. But it was crippled by the christmas rush, and they had to cut loose a few zones (the most famous being Genocide City). Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released as, pretty much, a beta. A game in the shadow of it's own potential.

BUT IT STILL KICKS ASS.

This game introduced the Spindash, one of the most wellknown features of the game series. Tails was introduced in this game. Sega added an extra Chaos Emerald. TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, this is the first appearance of Metal Sonic. Eggman runs away after his defeat, and CLIMBS INTO A MECH TO SQUISH YOU. This game took Sonic the Hedgehog 1 by the balls and made it it's bitch. This game OWNED.

And this is a game with at least 4 missing levels! Can you imagine how mindblowingly awesome the game would have been with more levels?

This game is pure, 16 bit sex. I love it, and i'm very glad to have it on my DS. Mario's alright for platforming, but Sonic is best for on the go and for the more hyper player.
