I'll always remember the digging. And that absolutely horrific nail-snapping-off sound effect (and accompanying visual, but really, the sound effect). I don't think I ever really recovered from that, although I think I've mentioned that over in Nightmare Fuel.

I think this movie made the nail snapping personal Nightmare Fuel for me, any movie I watch since then will seriously wig me out if it happens.
I have to agree with the awesomeness of the movie. However AVOID the sequel. It is not worth your time.

Stir of Echoes
This is an under appreciated film. It came out a few weeks after The Sixth Sense, and never really escaped its shadow. At the time, it was easy to dismiss it as a lesser film. I did myself, despite the fact that it scared me silly when I saw it in the theater. I saw it again a few years later, and I had some much-belated Fridge Brilliance moments. Kevin Bacon is fantastic in it.
