Typical Sierra game

I played this back in the day, and sadly it is a great reflection of Sierra games. Maybe not so much in the moon-logic of the various Quest games, but definitely in wanting to kill you. You needed to be careful about saving in different files, lest you find out that by the time of your last save the game decided you would randomly die no matter what you did. You could also easily die because you dared to hunt for gold and made to die via the hanging scene because a fellow prospector was hidden behind some tree. The graphics don't help either, as it doesn't have the charm of older Intellivision icons nor those from say a Nintendo that haven't aged that badly as far as simpler graphics go.

The only reason to play the original version is as a curiosity, and honestly it's not worth playing even for that. If you are curious, just try to find someone playing it on Youtube.
