Nostalgia Critic has always been a curious case to me. I started watching him shortly after I discovered Angry Video Game Nerd, and honestly? It's good content. Not always quality, but consistently entertaining.
Now I don't always agree with Doug's opinions or jokes, but that doesn't necessarily invalidate him as a critic or entertainer respectively, crazy I know. Not only that, but the fact that he can acknowledge good aspects of films he otherwise doesn't like (something that I know very well a LOT of reviewers on this platform have overlooked) easily puts him above most typical online reviewers. In fact I would say while his old reviews are fun and entertaining in their own right, there's a lot to be said with his modern content too, where in addition to "classic" formula reviews he also puts out more methodical and analytical videos which better shows his abilities as a critic.
Whether you enjoy or hate his content, Nostalgia Critic is a presence worth having around.
