I'm surprised that God allowed this book to be part of Holy Scripture, because on the surface it's about two lovers who are looking to have intercourse with each other. It's got the reputation of being the Bible's only book on sex, yet it is so clean you could hardly believe you're reading about sex. On a spiritual level, though, it's an allegory of God's love for His people Israel (or Jesus' love for the church), so that should inspire those who are seeking after God in the same way that the Shulamite seeks after her Beloved.
