I would recommend Minute to Win It to folks who are looking for something to watch while they're bored or something. The show isn't meant to be taken seriously, it's all in good fun.
Now I will say by season 2 the newer games were quite boring, and instead of being "fun and challenging" they were "can you do this in a minute". Nonetheless, the show still worked well with new and different formats.
I hated the GSN version and some other international versions(Minuto Para Ganar) due to all the sob stories it had going for it, however the show was still somewhat strong for me.
The reason Minute to win it is amazing however is how people manage to do the unthinkable. Yeah someone beat level 9, but did you see this guy beat level 7 in 5 seconds?! Or, when This girl(spanish version) literally saves it during the last 10 seconds. I just saw that yesterday, And I was absolutely shocked and amazed. Minute to Win It is about overcoming the odds, and that's exactly what she did.
While Levels 1-5 aren't very exciting to watch(they're not hard), seeing all the different challenges is always a pleasure. All the challenges have the right difficulty level, even if some are harder than others. The Thing about Minute is that you can train for all of these challenges, work out a strategy, have a partner calm you down, etc.
Minute to win It's music and graphics(blueprints and set) is awesome, that's just a personal opinion though.
All contestants will lose a life on levels 7-9 if they make it there. But you know that's the most awesome part because when someone overcomes that challenge, it's like a miracle. In Minute to win it, Every challenge can be mastered. Finally, It's fun seeing people celebrate at the end of each challenge and say "OMG I just did that". Also, buzzer beaters happen very often sometimes needing a replay to check them or just cool stuff happens that saves someone's game.
