I was really looking forward to this one. And it did not disappoint. Unlike BMO, where the lore revelations were left to the viewer to piece things together, we have full-on flashbacks. Obviously, I won't spoil what they are, but they full of, as they say, "feels". The Glass Kingdom introduced in this episode is very beautifully drawn, and its citizens are entertaining to watch. There is also a very fanservice-y cameo at the very end which, while unexpected, was still a welcome (and sad) sight. I should also note that I was worried how Marcy and Bonnie's relationship would be presented, but it was extraordinarily well done. Marceline has two new songs, both of which are fantastic, though they are the Spiritual Antithesis to one another. My only real gripe was that there was one Unexpected Character who appeared in the flashbacks who, while she was finally given a name, did not have the same voice actress as before. When you watch it, you'll know who I'm talking about. I just felt that her original VA not coming back for a Role Reprise really tainted the portrayal of the character, although her replacement does just fine.

All in all, this felt like a perfect epilogue for one of my favorite cartoon couples, and I look forward to the next two installments.
