How exactly is Mulan II funny? Considering that it has an extremely low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I suspect most of the laughs are at the film\'s expense, and I doubt it\'s an \"irreverent parody.\"

Of course it isn\'t an irreverant parody, but it feels like one. I guess a better way of saying is that it\'s So Bad, It\'s Good. The Deranged Animation used for Shang when he argues with Mulan is hilarious. The Jerkass personalities of the characters and the slapdash plot lend to the Bile Fascination. So yes, the film\'s humor comes from the fact it\'s poorly made, but it\'s still entertaining! Trash, to be sure, but funny trash.

Hilarious.
If you enjoy irreverant parodies, then this movie is for you. 10/10 would recommend. You would have to take the first movie extremely seriously to not get at least a few chuckles out of it.
