(So, this is technically my 2nd review here, but seeing as the 1st one wasn't particularly serious... Here we go again!)
First, I'd like to be upfront about the fact that I'm one of the channel's moderators, meaning my experience with NicoB isn't exactly standard. Still, I stumbled upon the channel as blindly as anyone else back in 2013, and I've stuck around for over 6 years as a genuine fan of Nico's content. Long story short, he's my favorite YouTuber.
With that said, for someone unfamiliar with Nico and wondering whether he's worth checking out, I raise the following questions:
1) Are you a fan of story-oriented games, especially from Japan?
2) Do you like watching LPers as they experience such games for the first time?
3) Does a mix of crack-filled ad-libbing and serious commentary sound up your alley?
If you answered yes to all these questions, then Nico just might be the LPer for you! (If not, that's totally fair, and it's all about personal enjoyment at the end of the day.)
As for Nico beyond his content, he's a good guy, plain and simple. He doesn't claim to be the best gamer or LPer out there, nor is that his goal, but he puts genuine effort into all his videos and shows constant appreciation for his community. He's friendly, sincere, and tries his best, and that's really something I admire in a content creator. It's why I've stuck by him for this long, and why I don't see that changing any time soon.
