Show was intelligent at first, but now gotten boring and all about romance and marriage

The show was a lot smarter back in Season 1 when it had more to do with competition over science and Sheldon often warring with Leonard over who is the smarter scientist. I think the show worked well (if not better) when Penny was absent. I would say "Jerusalem Duality" and "Batman cookie Jar Conjecture" were the show's best episodes.

A lot of the episodes of the show don't really have any plots, they're just Sheldon going on about endless conversations about the universe, science and even comic books and superheroes while annoying the hell out of the other main characters with his endless talking. Yes, I know the Star Wars digital re-editions and mindlessly excessive meddling were horrible but Sheldon dedicates entire hours complaining about them!

Now the show's become completely obsessed with women, romance, love lives, marriage, taking care of babies, relationship issues! Amy and Bernadette didn't really improve on the show's quality, they just made the cast a lot more gender-neutral and the show shifted away from science, Cal Tech and physics onto love lives and marriages. I also think the comic book store (and Stuart) have gotten more screen time than they earned it, Stuart's a pretty boring character who just says depressing things and tries to make everyone feel sorry for him given how much his life sucks.

Agree with all of this. The show started out great, but once the marriages happened and the babies appeared it really went downhill to boredom ville. Stuart\'s character really didn\'t have any sort of arc.
