Flawed Films: Cool Cat Saves the Kids

Cool Cat Saves the Kids is one of the laziest excuses of a kids' movie I've ever seen. I'm sure Derek Savage had good intentions, but this feels lazily slapped together. The production quality is very poor, to the point where you can see the camera-man's shadow at some points. The child actors perform their lines very woodenly, and Cool Cat shouts half his lines. Speaking of Cool Cat, he's an utterly annoying Marty-Stu. Contrary to the film's title, he does not save any kids at all. Butch the Bully is the cliche bully with no real motivation for what he does. No bully in real life wrings their hands while announcing that they will bring a gun to school to steal lunch money. Not to mention the poor messages. Cool Cat, at one point, tells Maria to read an unsolicited text message. The bullying message is also mixed. Cool Cat instantly redeems two of Butch's minions, but barely even bothers to reach out to Butch himself. Talk about hypocritical. And that's not even getting into the copyright controversy with Derek Savage.

Anyways, don't even bother with this movie. The only enjoyment you'll get out of it is ironic. (DERE HE IS!)
