I adore this fanfic. Part of it is the lengthy political machinations; part of it is the fact that it is technically canon-compliant in many respects due to the "multiple lives" thing; and part of it is just how unapologetically gay Harry is, which is a nice change from the casual homophobia of some other Peggy Sue fanfics *side eyes Backwards with a Purpose*. In any case, one of the most compelling aspects of Again and Again is the character development. Seeing Harry work to restore Voldemort's sanity and regain the will to live himself in the process is somehow cathartic at the same time that it is heartwarming. The way that Harry seems to plan everything so far in advance is especially enjoyable when those plans come to fruition. Idk, it's hard to pin down exactly why, but this fanfic is a joy to read and I strongly recommend it.
