Fun, but a lot of room for improvement

I'll be honest: I have had over six hundred hours of fun with this casual arcade game, but I've got quality standards — and this game doesn't meet them. Kind of a Guilty Pleasure for me. I'll now list the things that would make this a good game if done:

  • Fix the Artificial Stupidity. Seriously, the AI makes way too many bad fielding decisions. These could be seen as funny, but it doesn't make for a challenge. Not even the best team in the game has decent fielding.
  • Give the player and the CPU the same array of pitches. For example, when you control a Macho pitcher, you only have fastball, slowball and curveball. If controlled by the CPU, this type of pitcher has also the two-seam.
  • Compose music that is actually enjoyable. While not horrible, the songs are not very good and become quite repetitive pretty soon. You'll sometimes want to turn down the volume.
  • Have more difficulty levels above Hard. With enough practice, you can defeat Team Crystal (which is the second best team in the game) on Hard by 10 runs or more. I'm not asking for faster pitches, but smarter pitching and fielding.
  • Have the ability to change the defense position for a given character with ease. Currently, if a customized character of your own plays first base and later on you want them to play second base (for instance), you have to take notes of both basemen's parameters and paste them in the opposite slots. It should be as easy as having an option saying "Position" followed by the position of your choice for every character made.
  • Have a section in the main menu that collects all your teams' stats since their creation. The more stats, the better. Both collectively, as a team, and individually, for each player.
  • Fix the post-game stats. The videogame doesn't count strikeouts made during a strike'em out-throw'em out double play. The hits counter doesn't always show the true amount, either.
  • Allow position players to pitch. Currently, if your last pitcher gets tired, you'll have to deal with very slow pitches until the game ends. You should be able to swap them with position players, even if they can only pitch fastballs and slowballs.
  • Program the fastballs so CPU batters don't him them 90% of the time. This pitch is used very often in real life, and here it is just useless. Unless your pitcher is from Team Arc Stars, of course.
  • Have the ability to throw the ball to a cutoff man/woman (for example, the shortstop or second baseperson). Currently, you can only throw to a base. It could be made as MLB 2K does: if you're far in the outfield and choose to throw to the infield, a cutoff man will catch and relay the ball automatically.
  • Have the ability to disable the mercy rule. As easy as having a button with two possible states.

I can't think of any more issues right now, so we'll leave it at that. If these things were done, boy, would this game rock. Especially for costing only 2 euros (not sure if it's 2 dollars in America).
