This story succeeded in nearly every way, especially with characterisation and writing of the canon characters (aside from one). The romance was by far the best part of the story as well as it's progression, as well as the detective/mystery elements. Unfortunately, the story tries too hard to flesh out the villains and it ends up clogging up the story somewhat, ie. the Nick and Judy moments were far better than the villains' scenes, which sticks out. The underlying motivation for the entire plot is also extremely weak and disappointing. But still a good story with a lot of good writing and effort put into it.
