Its held back by Its times but same can be said about the movies.

I am going to start this off by Saying, Wes craven made a OK series for his last gig, and I recommend it, especially for teenage viewers.

This show has some problems with its overall package. But the story and characters is not one of them. Its a good spin on the slasher movie, It builds up to the final episode very well and the killers identity is not what you expect. Also the characters have very real reactions to the deaths that happen around them, the dead are not forgotten and their love one are changed by their deaths.

The two problems I have with the show weirdly enough

1) the killer themselves, mostly due to their history and motive being held in the dark even after they take off the mask. I think it's mainly so that they can have something for the next season

2) and Noah (played by John Karna), Who is meant to be the most level headed of the group and studies killers as a sick pastime, but for the most part he just keeps comparing things to a slasher movies, (He is not wrong), but it still makes no sense.

The real flaw in this show is its music. You see, being shown on Mtv, they have lots of new music playing during the episodes, and they have a little black bar on the bottom of the scene telling you who made it and it's title. Sometime this is used well. Like when a character plays a love song after their lover dies, other times it make no sense and really takes you out of the story.

Overall I'd say if your a fan of horror or drama you should at least try it.
