Working from my memories here...

If you ever have a chance to see an episode of this show, it's worth checking out. Extremely low budget, produced in the Philadelphia area, a boy from the present (1980) communicates with a girl from the future (2010) through a homemade computer. Their interaction is limited to a screen, but they bond over discussing their everyday problems. This format somewhat limited the writers' in developing possible storylines (all you ever saw were the children's bedrooms), but the show was supplemented with "Laurel and Hardy" shorts which this troper found interesting, and a puppet show segment which was cute, but a little boring.

Chris and Ingrid were "regular", nice kids. "Starstuff" didn't try to be edgy or more mature for their years. Some of the fans hoped the big reveal might have Chris and Ingrid be related, possibly father-and-daughter, but the show ended abruptly, and there was no reveal of any kind.

Overall, a charming little show, rather a period piece, and it's sad that no complete set seems to exist.
