I started reading Ava's Demon after caving into peer pressure, and I admit I was more impressed than I thought I might be. The art, as has been stated by other reviewers, is gorgeous and the world-building is some of the best sci-fi I've seen in a while. The characters are compelling and unique from one another, and I feel that further on in the story this will only increase as we learn more about them and they learn more about each other.
However, it updates panel by panel rather than comic by comic like other webcomics and this means that it takes a very, very long time for more story to arrive. As of writing this review, updates have been non-existant for months, and in all of 2015 there have been only a handful of them full stop. Because of this I would recommend reading Ava's Demon when and if it is ever completed, or to be prepared for a lot of very long gaps between updates.
