Decent comic riddled with power fantasy

Xkcd is, for the most part, a generally entertaining comic. Most of the comics are witty references and prime examples of Don't Like, Don't Read; if you don't understand them, you are outside their target audience and should just stay away rather than read on and whine endlessly. It's a logically unsound complaint that you do not understand something not intended for you to understand. The gimmicks add even more to the comic, being very thought out and cool.

Notice how much I used the word "most" in the above paragraph.

You see, the comic is often interrupted by jokeless pages where "Black Hat Guy" violently assaults people who get Randall butthurt because he is the One Supreme Deity and everyone who incurs His mighty Wrath must Suffer. Calling it a power fantasy is an understatement. The people who get their lives wrecked by The Spectr- er, I mean Black Hat Guy do not even deserve a prison sentence, let alone getting the fucking lives ruined. One more step and Xkcd would basically be Sonichu.

To summarize: an awesome comic, ruined by Author Tract. C+.

"It's a logically unsound complaint that you do not understand something not intended for you to understand."

That's...not the best sentence. I think to people reading it, it would be a confirmation of all they said was wrong with XKCD reflected in the attitude of the fans. Luckily I don't think the majority of XKCD fans would agree with that or phrase it that way.

Sorry I realise I wasn't saying that very well, because I didn't even explain what I meant. I think it's quite a belittling way of phrasing things and would be taken as something of a confirmation of XKCD's *smugness* even if that wasnt at all the way you meant it.

What. Black Hat Guy defines himself as a jerk. And you\'re saying it\'s a power-fantasy? There\'s no one going around worshiping Black Hat Guy, in fact, almost everyone seems offended by his existence.
