Good Premise, Good Payoff

This story basically takes the Kage Bunshin and has Naruto realize its potential immediately, so he begins to use it for training purposes. He becomes ridiculously strong in this really quickly, occasionally going into near god-mode territory. It makes sense after all, since he can now gain a week's worth of experience in a day just by using his Kage Bunshin technique. It may sound off putting having it explained like that, but the story offers a LOT more than that fortunately. The point of the story isn't about Naruto becoming powerful, but it's how he develops as a person.

Naruto decides that since he wasn't promoted this time (Iruka was knocked out by poison, so he didn't see Naruto perform the Kage Bunshin technique, hence the title), he will use his clones to essentially infiltrate the academy under disguise. Not only that however, he decides to use them to infiltrate the civilian school, and he decides to make some merchants, and he makes some of them different genders and gives them different personalities, and it just gets bigger and bigger as it goes on. I can't really express how entertaining it is to read about how he's slowly building a network of clones across the country.

Iruka plays a much larger role in this story as well, and he guides Naruto along and helps him out with his so-call 'prank'. I highly appreciate the much larger presence of Iruka, and I love how he takes his mentor role for Naruto very seriously, deciding that he won't let him down again this time. While there are other characters, Naruto and Iruka are center stage here, and while the story starts off simple enough, Naruto - with the use of his clone network - begins to discover conspiracies and other situations that he and Iruka must figure out how to deal with.

And while the story hasn't ended yet there, are some great payoff moments, where things that have been talked about for the longest time finally come into play.

The only real issue I have with the story is the large amount of spelling errors. For someone who updates on a monthly schedule, the amount of errors is pretty high. It's not enough to distract me from the story, but I can imagine some people would be put off by it, so be warned.

Otherwise I highly recommend you check this out.
