Change 1-2-3 in a dystopia future.

Like the Manga, Change 1-2-3, we have a male main character whose primary female love interest has a multiple personality disorder, and all the personalities are very different, yet the main character shows them equal (but different forms of) affection. Effectively making it a harem in one girl's body. There is also plenty of fanservice. That is where the similarity ends. While there is affection, it is purely platonic in nature, and the story is actually far darker than gleamed at first glance.

Law enforcement is basically non-existent. Highschool students need highly trained bodyguards just to attend school safely. The consequences of attending school without a body guard are dire especially if the student has desirable "special abilities."

The TRUE government of the world is a council of 13 "Master rank" mercenaries always jockeying with each other on a principle of "might makes right" regardless of the means employed, and these "rankers" determine who can be a mercenary, and at what level.

Children are often put in live combat situations where death is a real possibility, wars are common, and human experimentation rarely elicits a response. In fact, genocide just to create a "dead language" for power and profit is so common, nobody even bothers to protest it.

The series does have its bright and cheerful moments, but these do not tend to last.

In short, this is not a series for those who are faint of heart, but otherwise is an entertaining read if you have a high tolerance for nightmare fuel.
