I think I've read this fic three or four times, and it has yet to get old. The main story arc is very well-executed, with subtle clues five chapters before you realize there are clues to be had; the missions are all interesting and self-contained while still contributing to the main arc; the romance is believable, and the author manages to have them get together well before the climax without sacrificing the character's integrity or the plot. Also, the snark between Spock and Mc Coy is worthy of the original series itself. A very good read, with lots of touching moments, some of which I didn't notice the first time around.
