Yeah... no. None of that makes anything in the film look Harsher in Hindsight, but instead is making the claim that Bay's words are just wrong... not even in hindsight, since half are from an older work. It's a shoehorn for bashing. But thanks for bringing it up here.

Hop on over to this page and add them.It wasn't my intention to just rail at Michael Bay, though I did want to point out his hypocrisy. Thank you for helping me see the truth. I think I will list Alice as a Captain Ersatz of the T-X and point out the similarities (others have pointed this out, including CinemaSins) and Bay's seeming hypocrisy (but not rant on the latter) while adding older than they think. How does that sound?
Edited by Loremasta1 Working hard to gain inspiration for my own fiction and provide information for people.Bay's apparent hypocrisy doesn't belong on this page at all. It's entirely irrelevant to the site.

Would it be alright to add the idea of Alice possibly being a Captain Ersatz of the T-X from Terminator 3? There are some similarities, though I am not saying Michael Bay did it on purpose. I can link the Cinemas Sins review where they point out the similarity; the video can be seen here their comment on the similarities is at the 9:33 mark. Since that's how I see it but not everyone will see it that way, that's why I'm thinking of adding it to the YMMV page.

I was thinking of adding the trope Harsher in Hindsight, this would be for something I have noticed. Michael Bay accused the directors of Terminator: Salvation of ripping his movie off because the Harverster robot was a giant humanoid robot whose shape vaguely resembled Megatron, however Michael Bay lifted quite a bit from the Terminator films, making Bay look very hypocritical. To give the examples;
- In the first film, the five-bar Terminator leitmotif can be heard during the fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
- In this movie Sam is chased by a shapeshifting robot assassin, just like the second and third Terminator films (Alice's human and robot forms both vaguely resemble those of the T-X from Terminator 3 and both have in-built weapons).
- The main robot hero comments on humanity's self-destructive nature, which also happens in Terminator 2.
- The main robot hero sacrifices himself to save the main human hero, which also happens in Terminator 2.
- The main robot hero returns from being "killed", which also happens in Terminator 2.
- The villainous robot takes the human hero's parents hostage to use them against him, which also happens in Terminator 2.
While some of these elements could be references to events in the Transformers franchise (such as Optimus Prime's death), the parallels to the Terminator films make Michael Bay seem hypocritical considering how much of a fuss he made over a minor detail in Terminator: Salvation. Do any other tropers think this is worth adding? Do any of you agree or disagree with what I'm saying?
