TAU definitely needs to have consistent pronouns through out the article, which variously uses he and it, depending on the author. So at the very least, one needs to be chosen. But also it should be decided what the best pronoun for TAU is. TAU is definitely a person within the canon of the work, so "it" isn't appropriate, but also there is no indication, beyond a traditionally male-sounding voice, that TAU identifies as male in anyway. Certainly, TAU does not have physical features which are typically assigned the male gender. The best pronoun for TAU is thus "they/them."
Thoughts? I don't want to haul off and make this kind of change on my own (lack of) authority.
