An Author's Saving Throw is a case where the authors changed something, but left some hanging plots that may allow to change things back to the original state in case fans do not like it. It is not about simply changing things to appease the fanbase, as in the entries here. They should be changed to some other trope, or removed.

There's an entry of Unfortunate Implications that says

"Nico Minoru needs to be afflicted with Bleeding to use her magic. Blood Magic, yes, but she's a teen goth. Does This Remind You of Anything?"

I removed it, and the first poster restored it. The problem is that the first poster, who accepts that he has never ever read a comic book of the runaways, thinks: "teen goth + blood magic = self-harming mental disorder". Actually, the thing is not about that. Nico Minoru is a sorcerer that needs the Staff of One to do her magic, but this staff has an annoying problem: when it's not in use, it gets into her body (don't ask how, it's magic), and when she needs it, she must bleed to retrieve it (again, don't ask). She even has her own catch phrase: "When blood is shed... let the Staff of One emerge". See an example of the whole process here. Nico does not harm herself because of a mental disorder but because of this reason; she does not like to do it this way, and seeks alternatives when she can (such as brushing her teeth badly, the blood shed from her gums works just as well).

Back to the page: the point is that the 1ยบ power of the character in Avengers Alliance is an adaption of that aspect of the comic book character. It is not a reference to self-harming, and the original poster wrote this simply because he did not understand what was it all about. So, it should be removed.

Actually, it's not that. While in the comics she has to bleed to summon the staff and that's it, here bleeding is a major part of her skillset: the more she bleeds the more powerful she gets, and some abilities require her to bleed to be used. They could have omitted that part of Nico (since she always has the staff in the game), but not only did that but they expanded it, so I think it qualifies as a UI.

Captain Britain is included in the "Game Breaker" entry by using an argument involving a supposed "higher proc rate" when he's controlled by the A.I. No study has ever been produced which proves that. The only studies of proc rates which have ever been made seriously show that the A.I.'s rates are the same as the player. Captain Britain should not be in that list, or with other arguments.

I'm thinking of adding the PVP team up of Rescue and Wolverine to the Gamebreaker entry. Between their Protect abilities, his Healing Factor and her Reconstruction Matrix, and the utter difficulty they present in getting any debuffs to stick, you'd pretty much have to OHKO either of them in order to get anywhere in the fight. Does anyone else agree, or am I just really badly optimized to fight them?
