Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The Technocracy. While they have plenty of fans and very few players want to go back to the early editions with Black-and-Gray Morality with the Technocrats being presented as utterly evil, some players feel that the whitewashing the Technocracy has received has gone too far. Many books treat the Technocrats like moral equals to the Traditions and every atrocity of theirs as I Did What I Had to Do even though the Technocrats have done many, many genuinely evil things like multiple genocides and treating Mages (including those not allied with the Traditions like the Crafts) as second class citizens at best and more often just torturing and brainwashing them. Worse yet, not only is the Technocracy's treatment of Mages atrocious, but they've targeted other groups as well. Everyone in the World of Darkness from Sleepers to supernatural species to Technocrats has been victimized by Technocrat genocides and purges.

So I added an entry to YMMV because how I wanted to point out that not all players like the whitewashing the genocidal technofascists 'Crats get in newer editions. Note that this is literally true as I see players complaining about White Wolf white washing the genocidal technofascists 'Crats all the time in the White Wolf online communities. Thought it was okay since it was in YMMV and I was trying to clarify something I have legitimately seen in the World of Darkness community.
