Is Kariya as adored as the page makes him out to be? I would assume his Entitled to Have You nature leading to him, you know, strangling the woman he "loves" would lead to people not liking him as much. Which is weirdly not mentioned other than to sort of deflect blame onto Kirei. But then again, the fact the page itself goes Draco in Leather Pants for him might be an indicator that he is that popular.
His performance in the popularity polls is strong, but not to the extent of how much the page gushes about him.
Based on the discussion in the thread, I lean towards moving him to Base-Breaking Character.

Hide / Show RepliesFor a Broken Base the character needs to be truly divisive, and opinions on him do not vary as wildly or evenly as they do for Kiritsugu and Tokiomi. While some people will debate just how much it works in his favor, most of the audience still seems to collectively view Kariya as a sympathetic or at least tragic figure because of his flaws, so probably not. Perhaps adding or toning it down and rewriting it into an entry about him being Unintentionally Sympathetic might be due.
A-yup. People on these very boards still talk about him like he's the devil. It's pretty funny, really.

- DUDE, due to the rather strange official translation of Waver referring to him as "anata"note in Fate Apocrypha as well as his personality being memetically summarized as "DUDE, video games and conquest LMAO".
I feel like claiming "Apocrypha is the reason Iskandar is called DUDE" is sort of incorrect, since I have browsed 4chan due to reasons and they have been using that to refer to Iskandar for quite some time. In fact, their reaction to seeing Waver refer to him as "dude" in the subs was reacted like it was an Ascended Meme. I sort of recall that Volume 5 of Apocrypha didn't really have a full translation, so I doubt it would originate from that. Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
