Gonna give this a bump, but something that streamer Just3c brought up during his watchalong of the JP 4th anniversary livestream: If Yongshi/Manjuu try to go ahead with Hololive round 2 and explicitly exclude the CN version from the collab, this has the potential to get them shut down via wolf warriors/nationalists mass-reporting the two companies to the Ministry of Culture.

I don't know if I was misled, but should I add Enterprise to Base-Breaking Character category? I saw a lot of people in Azur Lane discord with different attitude regarding Enteprise. Some likes her unflappable and righteous attitude, others dislike her for "bland" and "generic" design, and it led to conflicts more than often. Things like "enty best waifu" often got butted with "enty bland boring" or such...

Keep the criteria for Base-Breaking Character in mind, they're all listed in bold on that page and there's a cleanup thread
on the forum with more discussion.
Personally I haven't seen much love or hate for Enty's personality (...mostly just her RNG gameplay), but I don't go on the official Discord that much. I think based on gameplay alone there's enough complaints to add the trope, but everything else on the BBC trope page should be satisfied or the trope is just going to get cleaned up later.

From what I heard, the artist was remotely associated with a radical feminist group, which tends to be a big black splotch on a woman's career there. This has been a chronic issue in South Korea where a female artist or voice actress basically has her career sunk by such an accusation. IMO I think it's reaching witch hunt levels and there is an actual need for social justice.
The case of Howe being absent on KR server, where should I be putting it in YMMV section?

Wouldn't Formidable count as an Ensemble Dark Horse? I see a lot of posts, users and threads boasting that she was skyrocketed into the popularity rankings from sites like Reddit, Twitter and Pixiv... Mostly for the number and pace fan art releases alone.

I personally don't believe Formidable is an ensemble dark horse. I don't see that she is particularly popular, at least on EN server. Popular, but not much.

Removed from Base-Breaking Character:
- Formidable is among them up managing to one up both of them as A) her kit is blatantly strong while Sirius and Taihou's take some conditions for full strength, B) overshadowing an entire faction being debuted (which include Taihou's artist Yunsang) which all have alternate skins not in art popularity and power (saying something since Zara is a pretty strong ship). This is seen as grievous as for among other things her role in such a conflict is minor (as stated in her lines) and doesn't appear until the 2nd half of the event. Yet she has a special set of post-oath lines that currently only she has. Also on the EN side it might be a real possibility that Taihou herself is getting overshadowed some.
Formidable was added to all servers in the second week of September, 2019, and fewer than 6 months of discussion / base-breaking have happened.
On the BBC page, a BBC must:
- "Have a sustained base of fans and haters. Obviously, whenever a new character is seen, or an old character does something big, fans are going to talk about it for a while. But if the discussion dies down after a few episodes, that's a sign that the character is not that divisive. A conflict should last for at least six months to qualify; any shorter and it's probably just your average fan disagreement."
Correct Though I'm adding a good candiate: Bache; her .... particular art and extreme Garyu fashion style tends to inspire adoration or loathing. But I'll wait and see how it goes.
I feel this is correct as the italian boats are gaining more steam in art and Formidable's detractors are starting to dislike her less as they get to know her beyond her chest.
Currently there's some torn opinions still concerning Formidable, but the things have died down as future events have avoided the same mistake. Bache on the other hand, has some low key broken baseness

Their entry will be added, soon ™, by Italian naval enthusiast, maybe Your Waifu Is Ship someday (he is Italian). I am not a big fan of Italian Navy though.
Not playable does limit what one can put down and IIRC they were as major figures in the event to boot. That may be on my figurative to do list.

I think she's indeed part of the IJN Pv P Meta in a N Ama Ryuu or Na Zui Ryuu comp.

I've said similar in the Hololive YMMV page, but I don't think what happened means there won't be anymore outside of CN (yeah CN's screwed), but I would say it'll certainly be a decent while at least (due to working out the Dead or Alive collab and waiting for things to cool down)
Manjuu isn't nationalist in themselves; just look at how plot irrelevant the Chinese faction is and how a number of japanese ships are highlighted. Whatever thing they do with CN seems in part more dealing with Bilbili (the CN publisher) and appeasing the Chinese market. It's telling that info on the Hololive girls was only removed in CN.
Yostar isn't either, their main focuses is profitable dealings, popular dealings, and spiting MICA. I can imagine they wouldn't want to entirely burn down that bridge.
Now if you were talking about Mihoya (the Genshin devs)....such assumptions would be right.
