Why is the entry for Combat Breakdown literally the ONLY thing spoilered on the entire Lucha Underground entry (including all subpages)? I've had countless plot twists accidentally spoiled for me by this page just because, for some reason, people decided that spoilers aren't needed here.

Is it just me, or is this show the closest thing we're going to get to Professional Wrestling meets Mortal Kombat? As in the original Mortal Kombat 1 with a secret, violent tournament organised by a shady, secretive and bloodthirsty individual that attracts a wide array of bizarre characters. It occurred to me when I suddenly thought that Johnny Mundo reminds me somewhat of Johnny Cage.

Not as long as WMAC Masters existed.

That wasn't really Professional Wrestling was it?

No, but it was blatantly pitched as Professional Wrestling meets Mortal Kombat. Hell, I'm shocked that isn't its laconic.

Maybe, but regardless of what it was pitched as, it couldn't really be Mortal Kombat meets anything because it was a kid's show. Besides, I don't mean Lucha Underground is like Mortal Kombat in the sense that it's video game-like, but just in the general shape of the story.

Maybe we should just consider it the second show to be "pro-wrestling meets MK"? WMAC Masters ended almost 20 years ago, after all.

Incidentally, I went and added exactly that Laconic to WMAC Masters.

I'd consider WMAC Masters to be "Pro Wrestling meets Mortal Kombat," but I think the best way to put Lucha Underground would be a "Pro Wrestling Spiritual Adaptation of Mortal Kombat."

Now that I think about it, WMAC Masters is more like Pro Wrestling meets Street Fighter than MK, but I think your assessment of Lucha Underground is good. Eh, doesn't really matter.

No, it doesn't matter but it's fun to chat about. I don't get to mention WMAC Masters very often in day-to-day conversation for some reason.

Would it be OK to add Hey Its That Guy to this page, since WWE wrestling fans, AAA fans and indy fans will recognize several people?
