Is it a troll? A vandal? Why is it everywhere?
You Are Not Alone...Until I Find You.Well, regardless, it appears to be fixed now so that's good
I'm barely there, I'm everywhereConsidering the enormous amount of media the Simpsons have appeared in, should it be considered a franchise?
Hide / Show RepliesDid anyone hear about the Simpsons parody of Primeval (the British sci-fi) that was going to be made?! Please respond to me!
Edited by NathanosaurI don't care if it would take a few years, we NEED a Shout-Out page!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyM Hide / Show RepliesThis response is a bit late, but oh well.
I agree. Wikipedia has some good "Cultural references" sections on their episode articles, most of which are cited so aren't just some sort of fan's imagination.
I'm gonna take that as a "no"...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMDidn't there use to be a Nightmare Fuel page for the Simpsons? Did it get removed?
Do we need this page? WesternAnimation/ page already has most of this list. And disambiguation pages are usually for when there are lots of different works, not lots of spinoffs from a source work.
We can just make this a redirect.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Anybody here who can make folders for each season. Family Guy and Spongebob Squarepants already have their own.
Hide / Show RepliesEDIT: Wrong reply. Sorry.
Edited by DragonQuestZ I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I'm working on a Recap page, but damn this series has a lot of episodes.
Help would be appreciated.
Hide / Show RepliesNo prob. Just got started on Homer's Triple Bypass, but I can't think of any more tropes that fit.
Edited by GoldenFootballPlayerI can't think of any right now either. It's been a while since I've seen any of the early season episodes, and they're rarely shown on TV these days.
Edited by MangaManiacI've made one for the first episode, and I see you've made one for "Bart the General".
After the first few season is done, I think it might be worth moving it to Recap. The Simpsons and working on it from there.
Why exactly was the "Tropes Named" section removed? It appears that the editor titled his edit "Useless, useless, useless section removed.", whereas its usefulness is pretty subjective. Some, me for example, may find it fascinating to see how the series has influenced this site. Furthermore, there are many other pages on this wiki with the same section, and I don't see many of them being edited in such a way.
Edited by colinssx Hide / Show RepliesI agree. I enjoy reading the Tropes Named sections and don't find them "useless" at all.
Is Burns Neutral Evil or Lawful Evil? Right now I'm tentatively guessing Neutral Evil, since I'm not sure how lawful he really is; I know it's a major theme of his that he actively seeks out loopholes in the law ("Who Shot Mr. Burns" comes to mind) but if there are any major instances of him breaking the law (can't think of any specific examples right now) that would in theory put him into the Neutral Evil category, right?
Could anyone more thoroughly familiar with The Simpsons clarify whether or not there are such instances?
EDIT: Never mind. Wikipedia says he's resorted to blackmail and bribery.
Edited by neoYTPism Hide / Show RepliesWell, he did supply the Nazis, was a member of the SS, steals children's candy, tortures his workers in his very own employee torture chamber, ordered hits on countless people and generally behaves above the law without consequences.
Among others.
I really wish there were a conventional way to type out Homer's gurgling hunger sound.
In the episode 'Homer's Barbershop Quartet', all the members of the B-Sharps have their singing voices dubbed over by professional barbershop singers, except for Wiggum, presumably to subtly show why he was kicked off. My question is, is that a trope?
It bugs me that they delibertly derailed Ned Flanders into being a strawman Christian to use in political and social commentary episodes. The episode that rubs me the wrong way is the Monkey Suite because the writers obviously don't know scat what creationists teach. And I have one thing to say Christians will back up science but not evolution.Just because one is against macro evolution doesn't mean he or she is crazy or deems science bad.Actually I believe science is is very important for Christians to know because it explains how God set things up and what laws govern them.If we put God did it on answers in science in my school then we'd get F's.That episode was defiantly a dethroning moment of suck for me.Because they derailed flanders just to take shots against the religious right and make it seem all creationists are dumb.I can tolerate Lisa even on the gay issues but this episode just infuriates me.Heck, not all Christians view Darwin as a man in league with Satan. We believe Darwin actually had some good points on how genetics worked(mostly about microevolution)but thought he was wrong on macroevolution.Yeah, some Christians demonize Darwin too much but other Christians see him as a brilliant, complex man who made a theory that changed the world in a very bad way.
This page has reached a point where, due to its size, editing it can potentially cause server problems. See this thread for details.
To fix this, I split the main series tropes into two pages alphabetically, and indexed these new subpages with the pages for the other Simpsons franchise works. This should give a lot more breathing room, and prevent future editing and page breakage issues.

I don't know why We're Still Relevant, Dammit! has suddenly appeared before the title of pages relating to this show, but could someone who can fix it please do so? thanks.
