Is this movie really an Affectionate Parody? Its not parodying anything, its playing everything completely straight. Its just a regular 80's Frat movie, just with monsters.

Should tampering with the mail really qualify as a Felony Misdemeanor? I mean, assuming that mail tampering is taken as seriously by monsters as it is by us (it's a federal offense), being banished the Himalayas for it may simply be the monster equivalent of being chucked in federal prison.

Banishment is permanent. It's equivalent to a life sentence in prison.
